Hugo Chavez is extremely popular in South America AND IN THE US. Those people in Massachussetts haven't forgotten Chavez providing oil this past winter. If you consider yourself a true believer in democracy you have to accept the fact that Hugo Chavez is the choice of THE MAJORITY of the Venezuelan people and should continue to lead without foreign interference. The failed coup d'etat should have shown the world who the majority of Venezuelans want for their leader.

Dear Mr. Stone,

I wish to tell you something about your last film. This time you lost your vision of humanity and reality to defend a dictatorship, thirsty for power. This person that you said was a hero... he has blood in his hands of his own people, i saw people been killed by the national guard, do you know how does it feels when venezuelans against venezuelan are separated by their flag, and in the middle you feel a weapon in your abdomen???
A real hero sacrifies for their people with his own life if is neccesary. Do you know what he made in 1992 after killed thousands of innocents? Because he lost, he choosed to hide himself to doesn't be catch by the justice.
He is not a hero, he uses his word manipulating people in a very hard society, he uses his word to create hate and division, instead of work and progress.
A real hero don't do that....
I respect your job, but this time i respectfully can say you're wrong. You defend a killer who prefers to use the weapons against his own people if that keeps him in the presidency.
If you go to a hospital in Venezuela, for example Victorino Santaella in Los Teques, Miranda's State, you can see for example in a room where you have only 10 beds, you have 2 patients for bed, that's happens in a "rich" country, rich in oil but not in valiums, because a real leader teach people how to work and improves their quality of life, a real leader teachs to his society what are their rights and duties. In my country valiums like mercy and tolerance, their just gone, because now we're two sides, or you belong to the country only if you support him or you're just out of the system and if you don't believe me try to say something bad about Chavez in a bank as i saw and a public officer only hear you... do you know what happened to those man? He tried to legalize a document and because that public officer heard him speak badly about the president, the chief told to the employees to don't make his document and create excuses about the document, because he spoke against the pr

The funniest thing is that Chavez constantly insults Americans and what they represent... and yet this dude is going over giving him little kisses... flattering him and calling him a champ... I hope he never has to feel the insanity of latin america in his life... wow some people are very lost in the world....

Yeah, go ahead Oliver Stone... Immortalize this douche so you can make money off of him! That's just great.. and the people in Venezuela living under bullets... This is so lame... At least people will know his version of the story... I bet you if you'd really ask the people it would be different... It's the same thing as when americans visit Cuba and they think it's great because they get to spend time in all the turist comodities which Cubans cannot step a foot in... The world has a mask, and a colorful one too... once you take it off... well, that day you will learn something...
