Its the year 2009 but racism appears as strong as ever. Some forms of it are very blatant while others are more discreet. This case up for debate revolves around a brand of watermelon soda being sold in Target that depicts both a White child and a Black child eating watermelon on the can. The depiction of the Black child coupled with the racist misconception that all Blacks love watermelon has led to debate on the streets over the companies overall intentions.
