The bible does speak of homosexuality, which was also mentioned in this video. How it's being interpreted is the problem. In King James version, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, it mentions that they will not inherit the kingdom of God if they do these things. A warning is also given to not allow ourselves to be deceived by these things that our constantly surrounding us. Including homosexuality, adultary, abuse and so on. And yes that includes loving riches (and so much more) more than we love God. It is so easy to be deceived by all these things because they've become the "norm" in our society. People are not relying on God through prayer enough these days to know what is right. There is some truth to the billboard which states, "Jesus does not discriminate." He does not discriminate. He loves each of us, but He does not praise behavior or actions that do not coincide with His true teachings, which homosexuality is a behavior He does not approve of. We can change our behavior/actions whether it's homosexuality, abusiveness, adultary, loving ourselves more than others, seeking power and riches...whatever it may be, we can change to be like Jesus Christ. Afterall, He is the perfect example of how we should live, right?
Good for the MCC, it takes real courage to put those billboards up in the heart of Bush Country. Here's what Jesus said about homosexuality: [nothing]. OTOH he said a lot about adultery, about loving your neighbor as yourself, and about the dangers of loving riches more than God. Maybe the next round of billboards should say some of those things. Texans might learn something.
