Look I've had problems with credit card companies in the past. So by no means do I think they are always right but, this needs to be said we need to start taking responsibility for why the banks are doing this. when you sign up for a credit card you sign a contract or agree to the banks terms so if you break those terms you can't complain if they raise your rate or give you fees. Ms Minch said herself in her follow up video that she was informed that she was late twice within a years time and by the banks terms they have the right to raise her rate. The real problem here is we as credit card holders need to read these terms and have to be responsible when we break the rules because guess what we used the banks money. Look I know people will say I work for the bank or I'm making excuses, neither is true like I said before I've had my problems with the bank and they do make mistakes and can be rude but that is their right because its their money I borrowed, key word borrowed. So if you want to really revolt start by making sure you know about how credit cards work read the terms before you take the money.

Honestly I prayed for this, I looked for people to join me in a Bank of America Revolt. Bank of America overdrawn my account by $1.00 and after five days charged me $70. I contacted better business; I wrote to my attorney general and have continued to fight them. Bank of America is taking advantage of struggling citizens, they have taken over $2000.00 in falsified fees and made me homeless at one point, by charging me $350.00 at one time and started paying off larger bills. A friend bought a plane tickets for $800, after two months the money was not removed, she had exactly $800 in her account. Bank of America was waiting for her to take even a penny out to charge her fees. Do you know that Bank of America computer programmers needs to be subpoena, they will explain that Bank of America pays them to write programs to rip innocent people off. I have never loved and respected a person in my life as I have this lady. A class action suit was filed against bank of America, and Bank of America was to notify customers that they ripped off and refund them their money back, but the letter was sent out to the customers as junk mail. Bank of America MUST COME down. Low income and middle class families are suffering because of this.
The woman made an enormously successful YouTube video (nearly 245,000 viewers) calling out Bank of America for raising her credit card interest rate from 12.99% to 30%. Because of all the press she got, B of A succumbed. But not until they haggled with her over the rate, which only goes to show that they have far more power to lower the rates than what they claim.The executive "tried to get me to agree to 16.99 percent and I said, 'No, nope, I believe because you guys are getting your money from the Fed at zero percent interest... that 12.99 percent is a more than generous profit margin for you guys.' So he did finally agree to that and he also agreed to send me that in writing."If we, unfortunately, need people using credit to get the economy rolling again, then why isn't the government cajoling people like Bank of America to stop charging usury rates for credit? Here's the video:

This woman is crazy. I understand that this woman is upset, but who is she really hurting by refusing to pay money that she legally owes? I agree that BofA's increased credit card rate seems excessive, however I don't think that she fully understands what she's doing.

CreditLaw.com posted a response to this video on their blog which highlights some simple steps that she (or anyone) can take to resolve the situation, walk away and essentially give BofA the finger.

Doesn't that make a bit more sense than screwing up your finances for the foreseeable future just to make a point?

For anyone interested, you can the blog post here: www.creditlaw.com/blog
How many times have you thought about telling Bank of America ( or any bank) to go screw itself? Well, Rockerchic4God not only thought about it, she's doing it. Some might say this woman got herself into the mess, but that's not the entire truth of the matter. She did accrue the debt, but Bank of America, like most too big to fail banks, are changing the terms of their financial relationship mid-stream. That should be illegal. If our founding fathers were willing to sacrifice their LIVES for our FREEDOM, then I can certainly sacrifice my credit score and be willing to be sued. I'm staging a DEBTOR'S REVOLT! var addthis_pub="thejoshuablog";
