I think that the main reason why people are so fasinated with the Twilight,Vampire Diaries,True Blood,and other vampire series, is because the story plots involve romance.for example, Twilight hardly has a intresting plot without the fact that a vampire falls in love with a human. I guess you can say Stephanie Meyer struck a chord that attracted teens, and this opened doors for other authors.
