new rule... within all the channels of our "communication" why is it so hard to communicate? It's getting harder and harder... Myself, as an educated, concerned, citizen... proud to be part of the historic progress(finally!) of our last US election... where do we go from here? Chris Matthews endorses writing a letter... I would if I really knew where to begin... honestly.. even this email.. who know where this will end up.. I can't bother register for a twitter account, nor am I interested in maintaing any facebook, my space, etc. blog... I do want to be part, I do want to find my start, but this is a problem , I fear, is not mine alone...how many people out there... like me... are beginning to detach from the political presence.. in nyc, the election last week displayed the apathy...the confused, disenchanted cynicism that has been the only constant I've known in my lifetime... we don't know where to go with our concerns, write an email? join a community board? send a letter to my local representative? lobby? petition? for many that is a viable resolution.. but for many others...the options lead us to just pointing the finger at everyone around us who isn't doing what they should be doing... i really want to contribute, find my start, in playing a part? But I'm lost...wavering.... on the edge of what I feel, is the closest to kairos I may ever know... a moment pregnant with possibility... for now it's present, I hope it doesn't become part of my past...
