It's all the rage. Not getting married--dancing at your wedding. Note that I didn't say reception.
Everyone's seen it all over the news--that cute couple in Minnesota that danced their way down the aisle before saying the vows. My mom saw it and told me to check it out. My first thought was "JK wedding dance?" Curiosity got the better of me, as it usually does, and I was youtubing the video before long. Here's what I have to say about it...
I can't WAIT to get married because my wedding will be even better!
I've only attended two weddings in my almost twenty years, and I must admit that they're rather boring. Dancing to the alter is a great idea. My mom's favorite was the guy who walked on his hands, and I still can't get over the sunglasses.
But I'm not completely all about the dancing up and down the aisle--my plan has always been to choreograph a routine for my reception. I've seen movies and videos, plus my twelve years spent in dance studios contribute to this dream. When I finished watching JK Wedding Dance, I started clicking on related videos and found this one.
I'd say don't be surprised if this happens at my own wedding, but that would take away from it all. Enjoy!
Norm and Renee's Wedding First Dance: This is how we kicked off the reception. No one really knew what we were about to do after a couple of minutes into the Jack Johnson song. We thought is was something original and we choreographed it ourselves. First song is Jack Johnson's "Better Together".
