Norman Finkelstein has resigned from DePaul university as part of a settlement that recognised his “outstanding” record as a teacher and a scholar. Chomsky summed the whole affair up excellently:

“Of course, the whole affair was an utter outrage, a cowardly attack on academic freedom.”
