One of my favoritesI love road bicycle helmets, I really do, not only because I they actually have saved my life several times from falling off the bike but because they make me look cool and awesome. It is my personal opinion that helmets make any cyclist look better, with more personality and class...more elegant. That is one of the reasons why I collect helmets, specially road helmets since they are more slick. There are several brands, some more expensive than others depending on the brand and the way each helmet is made. To mention some, Bell, Giro, Louis Garneau, LAS Kripton and Lazer, my new toy. I like all brands, some more than other. For example, I find  Louis Garneau helmets very beautiful and elegant, but they can be uncomfortable, especially on the temporal area of the skull. Well, it all depends on the anatomy of your own head, so even though I love Garneau helmets, I only own 2 of them because they pressure on the sides of my head if I wear them for longer than 1 hour. Bell and Giro helmets are great, the more expensive the model the better, because they are made with more care and quality material. LAZER is ONE cool helmet! The newest helmet that I'm having so much fun with is the helmet LAZER from Belgium. It's so very comfortable and fits so perfectly that sometimes I forget I'm wearing it when I'm biking. Its weight is featherlight, only 310 gms, it has 24 vents for perfect ventilation, and it has multi-impact protection technology. The prices of the helmets can go from 60 to 300 USD, and depending on how much you ride, where you ride and how fast you ride you should choose the best for you. I personally think that a good more pricey helmet can protect my skull way better than a cheap one, but then again, I bike a lot and go very fast on flats and dowhill, alone and sometimes in the middle of heavy traffic, so I personally need the best of the best. I also believe that road cycling in fundamentally incompatible with a poor wallet. Sorry, but that is the truth.
