EASY RIDER:THE RIDE BACK
Look for it in a Theater near you around October 1, 2009
The long awaited prequel to one of the highest grossing independent films of all time. "Easy Rider" defined the thoughts and values of a generation. The Prequel "Easy Rider: The Ride Back" shows through flashbacks how these much loved characters became the classic icons of a generation.
Millions of fans around the world know the throb of the Captain America Harley Davidson, the roar of that great 60s music, the thrill of the open road. Now a whole new generation can experience the same sense of freedom through these modern day road rebels in "Easy Rider: The Ride Back".
Once again the problem I have with this is that it still doesn't show black bikers' contribution. It pisses me off how yet again it is the same intent even today to keep quiet the black biker involvement as black motorcycle clubs and our engineering of the "Billy Bike". They said they were bringing the movie from the 60's to today. I saw clips of the movie and the only black people I remember seeing were fighting in the Viet Nam War not riding motorcycles.
I hope Benny Hardy isn't turning over in his grave. Acknowledgment should be given to Ben and Cliff Vaughs publicly this time for black biker contribution in the original movie "Easy Rider" and hopefully if there is any black bikers, finally in "The Ride Back". This is very disturbing!!
Right Power!!
