We already knew Waveboard was bringing Google Wave to both the desktop and the iPhone with two dedicated clients, but you'll be interested to know the iPhone app is now live on the App Store and available for less than a buck (iTunes link). As you can tell from the short demo video below, the app does exactly what you think it does: it displays 'waves' and lets you search historical ones, start new ones and manage your contacts. It also opens external links in a custom browser without the need to leave the app. Waveboard also supports push notifications through a workaround (you need both the Prowl iPhone app and the Mac version of Waveboard), although they did say the next iteration will have proper push notifications.
via blog.go2web20.netThere was already the safari based version, soon the desktop version which i guess will be better from a user experience point of view (made in germany according to the accent)In the meantime there is a mac client to download here Permalink | Leave a comment »
We were waiting for it. There you go. It was first a desktop client. The iPhone app is now available on getAp.ps/fy
unfortunately it's not a free app (no doubt it will be soon...).
If you want a free alternative try the Safari based version. But mind the speed
Now if you ask me the Mockup of this virtual app made by Mockapp looks a little better. But it is just a mockup
PS: oh want an invite to wave? we have a few. drop a comment with your email
