Alertpay is a legitmate business. However, scammers have taken Alertpay's templates and created their own confirmations and notifications asking you to send an item before money is deposited into your account, which will never actually happen. Watch for grammar and typing errors in their confirmation letters. There are many. It just happened to me but I caught the errors and looked up scams and found many similar stories to mine. Alertpay won't ask for tracking numbers because they have their own, just like Paypal. The original email to you about your product will also be suspicious, referring to whatever you are selling as "the item" and then telling you they are out of state or the country on business. Seller beware!!!
