My daughter also has severe asthma. I was told she needed the injection and that it could be extremely dangerous if she did not have the injection. Every health care professional also told me the same. I do know, the nasal was specifically NOT to be given. I know everyone can make a mistake. Hopefully this little boy will be fine. I sympathize with all of the health care professionals trying their best to take care of huge masses of children. Very scary to be in these parents shoes.

Due to health problems this young boy has, his parents specifically told the school NOT to vaccinate but the school went on and sprayed the Medimunne nasal spray up his nose. THEY DID NOT GIVE THEIR CONSENT. THIS SCHOOL HAS BROKEN FEDERAL LAW ! THIS YOUNG BOY COULD HAVE DIED.

The insert specifically states-

5.2 Asthma/Recurrent Wheezing
Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine Live, Intranasal or FluMist should not be administered to any individuals with asthma or children less 5 years of age with recurrent wheezing because of the potential for increased risk of wheezing post vaccination unless the potential benefit outweighs the potential risk.

Do not administer Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine Live, Intranasal or FluMist to individuals with severe asthma or active wheezing because these individuals have not been studied in clinical trials.
