I've just reviewed the video with Mr. Lee. My heart is sadden. I gradurated in 1970. If I had not taken it upon my self to search out Black history, poetry, or leading citizens I would not have learned of them. It was not until I toured the continent of African that more understanding came into play. If White's are the only ones writing and characterizing then that is the only version you will know. Mr. Lee has his way to show his view and Mr. Perry has his way to show us his. To insult one way is to insult your own. i think its just the opposite. if anybodies movies are anything of the sort its spike lees moveis. i think that he just completely insulted tyler and all he represents. im shocked and offended by the statements made. i love tyler and all the movies/plays he makes. keep up the great work Mr. Perry. I love you and your crew. sincerely, a life long fan forever.
