Here is the new feature/Theatrical trailer for John Hillcoats THE ROAD. Based on the best selling book of the same name by Irish writer Cormac McCarthy and stars Viggo Mortensen, Charlize Theron, Robert Duvall, Kodi-smit MacPhee and Guy Pearce. Its been a hell of a long time since we've had a trailer for this movie (May) a little like the number of problems/delays this movie has had which is a shame. The early reviews where mixed on this movie but as the summer progressed the movie done the rounds at the festivals and the reviews have been more positive. This movie is a hard one to promote and is probably a reason why some people where quick to critise it. This is a bleak, grim and dirty post-apocalyptic land the survivors have to live in, its everyman for themselves. Though you want to show the grimness and fight to survive but also you want to show that the characters arent just living to survive, but living for hope. This movie got 86% at rotten Tomatoes and I have to say this is looking like it'll be one thought provoking fantastic movie. THE ROAD will head into UK/Irish cinemas on January 8th 2010.
