what people are saying

The Sunday Times constantly surprised us with their willingness to allow us to develop design styles that are, for a paper like The Times, quite challenging. This 'feature' was on Nirvana and Kurt Cobain; a subject we are all familiar with at Plan-B Studio. This video represents the 60sec intro edit that I compiled. Such a pleasure to work with a subject that we know so well. From a design perspective there was only one way to design this feature. Taking inspiration from the likes of David Carson (Raygun) and BlahBlahBlah Magazine, it was clear that to fit with the time and the feeling the only method was to use a scalpal, magic tape and a photocopier; which made for interesting moments when copy changes came in!
