Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC) continues to provide the WTFs and LOLs. Foxx, who as you remember spoke out against the Matthew Shepard hate crimes bill and said that the Shepard murder was a hoax, says health care reform is a...

Rep. Foxx has a legitimate reason for fearing anything that takes freedom away from ANY American. Why don't any of you attack the real reasons for the high cost of private pay health care. You know, like fraud or even the costs from lawsuits that people treat as if the have won the lottery? Or even the fact that most Doctors are greedy, hypocrites? Lets handle the real issues and bring down the costs before we head down a road that will only lead us to communism. Absolute power corrupts absolutely, or have we forgotten all the wisdom of history? I live near Foxx's district and intelligent, educated people in this district are just as worried about any freedom being trampled upon. I wonder if any of you have ever heard of making your own way, or even attacking the real issues that have made the health care system as bad as it is. Being that I have no medical insurance at the moment, I would benefit from free health care(my boss folded his compant when the economy hit the crapper b'cus of all the peeps that got loans that they couldn't afford thanks to progressives like yourselves). Don't any of you realize that we can fix the problems with health care without trampling on ANYBODY'S freedom if you go after the real causes of the problem, and not listening to the left that wants to destroy all integrity in the people and the the nation itself. We are the LAST bastion of FREEDOM, real FREEDOM, left in the whole world. And we inspire the freedom that all of the world wants. No matter how you slice this up, we and our children end up with a HUGE debt that will only get bigger by going down this road. I ask as your fellow man, to recognize the real problems and go after them, not some "quick fix" that will only destroy our own future as a beacon of hope to all the world. We can curb these over priced doctors and hospitals with legislation without going into debt, as long as we stay on task. Remembering as we do that all freedom should be guarded by all.
Ten years [...]

Time to get real rude here. I guess a good portion of her district is senior citizens who currently are enjoying that free government cheese...er medicare. They are worried about taxes? For real? What part of you have to be making serious money for your taxes to be raised can't they understand? Or is it that Rep. Foxx is an epic failure at telling her "district" the truth? Sorry but Rep. Foxx can not have it both ways. She can not demonize the health care reform while lying or leaving out vital information.

Is there a contest in the GOP to see who is the craziest? Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC), the Congresswoman who slandered Matthew Shepard, thinks health insurance reform is a bigger danger than terrorism -- and we know how much Republicans fear terrorism. I know it doesn't make sense. Foxx is Bachmann-like in her extremism. From Faiz Shakir at Think Progress:
Rep. Virginia Foxx's (R-N.C.) reputation for over-the-top rhetoric is well deserved. She a deather, a tenther, and recently boasted, "There are no Americans who don't have healthcare." But today's gem is a must-have for Foxx's greatest-hits package. During a floor speech today, Foxx bluntly declared that the Affordable Health Care for America Act, which House Democrats unveiled last week, is a greater threat than any terrorist in the world: "...I believe that the greatest fear that we all should have to our freedom comes from this room -- this very room -- and what may happen later this week in terms of a tax increase bill masquerading as a health care bill. I believe we have more to fear from the potential of that bill passing than we do from any terrorist right now in any country."Watch It:
Few Republican congressional members have served as a greater fount for hyperbolic and uninformed ranting about health care reform as has Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC). As ThinkProgress previously documented, Foxx has claimed Democratic reforms would mean seniors are “put to death by their government,” that health reform is a “distraction,” and that “there are no [...]
