Angkor is one of the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia. As interesting as Angkor may be, it has no accommodations and few facilities. The nearby town of Siem Reap is the tourist hub for the area. Together with Tonle Sap Lake and its "floating villages", Siem Reap is an interesting attraction in itself with colorful markets, friendly people, local crafts especially at Artisans d'Angkor which is a self supporting craft and silk workshop.
