" ~Tenneva Jordan that's true!mothers just love their children they have to sacrifice for themselves...they always see to it that her children are properly taken cared of...it makes me remember my mother who passed away last september, 27,2009 because of liver cirrochis. nanay sinta, as she was fondly called was a devoted mother for us.she woke up as early as 4 am. to do the household chores and prepare foods for us.when we woke up everything was already prepared... she celebrated her last birthday at 65 last august 17,2009(40 days before her demise).we just had a small salo salo at home and she requested a tinolang native na manok. and when it was time for us to eat,she did not get a plate immediately.she asked if all my siblings were already at home."asa si raul"?...si marife naa na"?...si noel unya pa to,bilini ha"...she only started eating when we assured her that all my brothers and sisters were already there. today is the 40 days of her demise and memories of her flashed in my mind.i had always been close to nanay.i will miss her law -uy. a broiled vegetables composed of malungay,alugbate,kalabasa,okra,talong with fried fish. her own version of the simple pork chop ,pinaksiw and tinolang isda were superb. now that she is gone,i still cook law uy...she had planted some malungay,lemon grass and eggplant in our garden and i just pick some of it... the following songs also reminded me of her.these songs were played during the necrological service. i would like to thanks all the people who were with us during our difficult times...
