what people are saying

A little taster of my forthcoming documentary about the River Severn, and the plans to harness it as a massive source of renewable energy. I filmed dozens of people surfing the bore through the hazy dawn light in Spring. This was a three star wave, and a little small - although the effect on the day of this immensely long wave going on and on upstream was pretty impressive on the day, especially with the enormous swell of water that followed it. The documentary I am making will be my first foray into the medium. Most of my work has been in radio, although as you'll see from my slideshows above, I've been working to blend image and sound for some time. I'm still interested in juxtaposing sounds and images that were recorded independently, at different times - so you may see a lot of that in the finished piece.Cast: Tom Allan
