Americans are waiting for President Obama to make a decision on whether or not he will send the 40,000 or so troops that General Stanley McChrystal has requested to Afghanistan. In the meantime, there is growing discontent in the United States over the mission in Afghanistan and recently the first U.S. state department official and former Marine corps captain, Matthew Hoh, resigned in protest over the war in Afghanistan.
