Released today by CBS is this promotion for the television programme entering Second Life on October 24th. The actual plotline will continue until next February. At the same time, the Electric Sheep company will be releasing a new inworld viewer known as the "On-Rez" viewer with an interface designed to be familiar to general mainstream web users. A CBS/CSI branded version will also contain links relevant to user participation in the show itself. Whatver your interest in the television series, this is an important step forward in bringing the metaverse interface to the mass consumer and will benefit us all. Despite its simplicity, the On-Rez viwer still contains all the functionality of the Linden Lab version.
