James Kalm is pleased to report on this large group show from the heart of Chelsea. Curated in part by James Ensor scholar Xavier Tricot, this exhibition is a meditation on the fragility of life and the iconic images of death, the skeleton and skull. These depictions have found resonance with scores of artists and the wide spectrum of expressions from comic, to the tragic, to sardonic are on display. Some of the artists represented include: Don Baechler, Paul Delvaux, Matthew Barney, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Marlene Dumas, James Ensor, Jenny Holtzer, Jannis Kounellis, McDermott & McGough, Alice Neal, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, and others
