this is an old joke. i ran it as a fake newspaper story 15 years ago. equating the success of the joke with perceived fallacies of the environmental movement is a tad disingenuous. no, we should not accept statements out of hand just because someone says them, but neither should we dismiss science just because we don't like what it tells us. somewhere in the middle is what we should be pursuing. what you really need to be concerned with, however, is dihydrous monoxide.
