Stories about fear, the role of ethnicity and religion, hate and violence, but also stories about the future, dreams, courage and hope. This series of portraits paints a probing, almost surreal picture of a country and a population that is completely torn apart. Majid - a tourist from the violent city of Mosul: 'It is our fate as Iraqis, to live in misery. I can't remember ever really laughing. I envy those people who can really laugh.'
