Comment on “For the bible tells me so” Here’s the real question…Is this the best God has for mankind? God had an intended purpose for man when he created him and as such our question should be, is this the best God has for me? I don’t think so.
It is obvious that this video displays the worst the church has to offer and it should be different. The Christian is called to patience, kindness, and consideration toward others, Paul said he is never to be boastful, selfish, or proud. This was Paul’s definition of Love and Christ said the greatest commandment was to Love. However, there is a human problem and just like any other issue in life that brings men and women to destruction remember the beginning… God didn’t make it that way. It is a deviation from God’s plan and purpose. But this is the Gospel (Good News) as it pertains to all of us, Homosexuals included. We are not saved or forgiven by our own works (abstinence from sin) but by grace. We are able to rest, despite our sin. That means no one of us is better than the other or more forgiven than the next. It means we owe our salvation to God in Christ alone. Our only job is to find belief and allow God to make the changes only he is able to make. To the gay person, Please see that God has a better plan than this world does, and while you seek that plan for your life…rest in the salvation God has afforded you in Christ’s sacrifice. Don’t worry about the worst the church can offer remember the best God has to offer. Life is not over… until it is over. May God bless you with his presence.
