Pantry Panic is a 1941 animated short subject, part of the Woody Woodpecker series, produced by Walter Lantz. A very early entry in the series (and thus featuring an early garish Woody Woodpecker design), Pantry Panic (working title: What's Cookin' ) was released by Universal Pictures on November 24, 1941.
Woody is warned that winter is coming, but brazenly ignores the warning. After all of his food taken by a cyclone, a cat comes to town to eat Woody. But, Woody begins chasing the cat to eat him instead. After several minutes of battling, a moose appears in the forest, and the starving cat and woodpecker chase after it, kill it, and eat it. Sitting near a pile of moose bones with full bellies, Woody and the cat only appear content. Then...
