This is the late great Robert Palmer with his fantastic rendition of Cherelle's "I Didn't Mean To Turn You On" which was written by Jimmy Jam And Terry Lewis. This song was also covered a few years ago by Mariah Carey who did a very Jimmy Jam And terry lewis 84 sounding version. Robert's version has great sophistication indeed, this video is lavish and gorgeous... A very talented musician.
