As far as I am concerned, the military is a necessary evil, just like lawyers. And, just like lawyers, you need to have a better one than the other idiot with a lawyer. Guess why there were 200,000 Germans present at that venue? Obama was born August 4, 1961 (Wikipedia). OBAMA WOULD HAVE BEEN 12 YEARS OLD IN 1973, totally non-eligible for enlistment in the US Military at any time that there were active combat operations. US involvement in active Viet Nam combat operations ended August 15, 1973. (Personal knowledge - I was there) and with South Viet Nam being overrun by the Communists in 1975 the loss of the war by the US was finalized. SO OBAMA WOULD STILL HAVE BEEN AT THE OLDEST 14 years of age.

US Viet Nam veterans are by definition those veterans who served in Indochina during the period February 28, 1961 to May 7, 1975.

OBAMA may have been in Indochina in that period but not in the capacity of a member of the US Military.

So according to whomever, if he is a Viet Nam Veteran from those years what force was he assigned? The only forces of which I am aware which used minors for their military were the NVA, the illegitimate forces of Laos and Cambodia and other miscreants. What was his assignment and who assigned him to the post? Not any US Authority!
