Born in New Orleans for some spicy flavor and grew up in Charlotte, NC (The QC!). I moved to Greensboro, NC where I studied Nutrition/Dietetics and Food Science for the 5 year plan at UNCG (Go Spartans!). And then moved up the restaurant ladder into fine dining where my passion and excitement for food truly exploded! Back to my hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina we go for a couple of years, and just recently moved to Tampa, Florida leaving my fave restaurant, (Table Restaurant & Bar), and my biggest fan; my mom, behind. I would walk on firing coals for my chefs at Table! Probably even do a couple of laps or start the limbo over those coals! (www.tablecharlotte.com) I miss you all terribly! Fresh from the Farm to the Table! Great seafood, cuban food, and citrus here though in Tampa! HEE HEE. I write down menus in my spare time with flavors that I'm in the mood for at that very moment. I love pulling fresh herbs from my garden (recently received a green thumb..yeah for my purple basil!) and venture out to restaurants pretending that I am a mysterious food critic. I create dishes in my mind from the top to the bottom bite where in my mind, I can taste separate flavors working interestingly yet seamlessly together. I have always been a creative, enthusiastic, adventurous friend who loves most importantly to please everyone I cook and serve for. I am such a foodie or food and wine dork (look at my blogs). I filet fish tableside from the fish markets here in Florida, (because I miss fileting bronzini, and snapper like I used to in seconds at Table Restaurant and Bar. All I ever talk about is really good food, what I made for lunch/dinner (sorry, no politics or sports talk here! yikes!) I absolutely cannot wait to be selected to be on The Next Food Network Star; having the time of my life, and doing what I love most...wowing all the senses with delicious ingredients! Just get your bib ready because I'm your date! Oh...did I mention that I'm single? LOL.
