It is a strange phenomena when viewed from outside the US but every psychological or spiritual practice seems to always be interpreted thru the filter of 'how can I apply this to business success'. From what I can make out, Eckhart Tolle does not seem to be talking about business, networking or any other 'success' related agenda but awareness of the now, of the stillness surrounding things, of living in the ever present moment. I am not pointing this out to be difficult or argumentative but just to highlight something fundamental in the approach to life in the US. some fundamental assumptions that are so powerfully present within the culture that much of the time they remained unquestioned. Not everything in life is meant to be understood in terms of 'how can I apply this to my business success?'
