No, I don't necessarily mean this particular video I've made should have been the actual video. I changed the title after getting thousands of messages saying it "should have been" the video. I was very disappointed with the cartoon/anime video that was released for this song. It seems a lot of people are bummed. Nothing against anime style videos, but I was really hoping that Britney would nail this video and get back to her roots and knock our socks off like she does in this compilation I've put together. Break the Ice is my favorite song on Blackout and is such a strong song. It deserved a hot, classic Britney video with major hot dancing (and panting).
Plus, the anime video doesn't even flow with the song or match the lyrics. I mean, come on! Read the lyrics (below) and then go watch the anime. The whole message of the song doesn't even match what you're watching? Villains? Superheros? WHAT? This is a sexy hot song about breaking the ice and "getting it on"... not monsters chasing Britney! When I 1st saw it, I thought it was a joke or something a fan came up with. When I hear this song on the radio, etc, I want to picture this style video and not a fake cartoon Britney. (You know exactly what I mean.)
For those of you who say my video is "just a bunch of clips of her old videos"... well, you're damn right! These clips are what made Britney a superstar. This video is meant to portray Britney looking back (as you can see in the beginning clip from Gimme More) and watching her old self through her old videos. This is a ref
