Rapper Percy 'Romeo' Miller has put his music and film career on hold after signing for his university basketball team. The 17-year-old, who is studying a degree in business administration at the Universities of Southern California, signed for the Trojans last week.
According to AllHipHop.com, the son of millionaire music mogul Percy 'Master P' Miller is the first hip-hop star to receive a full athletic scholarship.
Romeo Nets USC Basketball Scholarship
NEW YORK (CBS) ― TMZ reports rapper Lil' Romeo has earned a full-ride basketball scholarship to USC.
Romeo, whose real name is Romeo Miller, will enroll at USC this fall after graduating from Beverly Hills High School, where Romeo is an honor student. Romeo, 18, will sign his letter of intent during a press conference at the Beverly Hills' Four Seasons today.
His father, rapper Master P, signed with two NBA teams in the late 1990s but was cut during preseason.
