Y`all know the buzz by now revolving around this epic movie release. Called the darkest iteration since the first Batman movie (you know the one with Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson).  Now I can’t vouch for everyone saying that Heath Ledger’s performance being Oscar worthy, but the question must be raised if all this buzz would have ever come about if he didn’t die earlier this year.  At any rate, the anticipation has been snowballing and I can tell you that trying to find tickets for the first IMAX showings disappeared within minutes of the tickets becoming available (trust me I tried on Fandango.com)Just to loop you in on the happenings going on in this movie, here’s a quick synopsis of what this hands down #1 weekend box office sales movie is about:Christopher Nolan steps back into the director’s chair for this sequel to Batman Begins, which finds the titular superhero coming face to face with his greatest nemesis — the dreaded Joker. Christian Bale returns to the role of Batman, Maggie Gyllenhaal takes over the role of Rachel Dawes (played by Katie Holmes in Batman Begins), and Brokeback Mountain star Heath Ledger dons the ghoulishly gleeful Joker makeup previously worn by Jack Nicholson and Cesar Romero. Just as it begins to appear as if Batman, Lt. James Gordon (Gary Oldman), and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) are making headway in their tireless battle against the criminal element, a maniacal, wisecracking fiend plunges the streets of Gotham City into complete chaos. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie GuideI’m hoping to watch it this weekend but I’m not quite used to going to the movies solo…wish I had my girl to go watch this with!  GAH!  Anyway, if you haven’t already seen one of the various trailers for this flick…check this one out and drool.
