China, France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States, together with the European Union, on Saturday presented a new proposal to the Iranian government in a fresh attempt to get the Islamic republic to stop its uranium enrichment program.

EU Foreign Policy Chief Javier Solana handed the package, described officially as the ‘E3+3’ proposal, personally to Manouchehr Mottaki, Iran’s Foreign Minister.
