I always knew those 1997 Jayhawks were meant to be National Champions. Paul Pierce and Scot Pollard have joined Jacque Vaughn and his championship with the Spurs by winning the NBA Championship tonight. (Maybe those National Champion Jayhawks inspired them) Whatever the reason, Paul Pierce and the Celtics are NBA Champions! They beat the Lakers tonight, 131 - 92. Rock Chalk Jayhawk, baby!! This was one of my favorite Paul Pierce half-time interviews tonight:Pierce response to the question, "How did you guys have this much energy?" It's the NBA Finals, and we're at home.
