Quarr Abbey which is a monastery: the home of Benedictine monks. The community at Quarr seek to live a life centered on the worship of God, work and prayer and fellowship. Several times a day the monks gather together to pray the psalms, listen to the Word of God and celebrate Holy Mass in the beautiful yet also austere church. -(Act 2, 42-47)- Quarr Abbey is situated on the northern coast of the Isle of Wight. The Island lays just 4-7kms off the central south coast of England, about 120kms from south-west London.- - If you think that you may have a vocation to monastic life and wish to discuss the matter, you will be welcome to spend a few days in their guesthouse.
