original description

So below is a slide show of some of the flowers at the E2S training site. I had a good time there. I didn’t take any pictures of the sessions. It wouldn’t be very interesting anyway. We just sat in a room on plastic chairs (like you might have on your patio or deck) at tables and went over information. Although it was mostly lecture style we had quite a bit of group discussion and played a limeted number of games. One of the atfernoons we played the global village game (the kids got to join us for the game). I ended up being the only rich person in the simulation and three of the kids from one family decided they wanted to be adopted by me instead of staying with their parents who were poor for the simulation. After the game they still stayed quite attached and the youngest girl of the family has somewhat adopted me as her “auntie” so that is kind of fun (especially since I will see them in Cambodia). Out of the seven days of training we also had one afternoon (sunday) when we got to go on an outing. We went to the historic town of Melaca and got to see some really old churches, got a little, time to shop, and had dinner at a chinese resturant. The stack I just found humorous. You can read most of it but under the ‘best tasty’ it says, “Excellent dose of delicious food adds onion crispy crispy good flavour.” It was a fun afternoon and a needed chance of pace and scenery. During the training the kids had a wonderful kids program run by a proffessional clown who did a wonderful job. He did a little bit for us adults on the last day. He put on quite a little show and I am sure he brought quite a lot of joy to the kids during the week. At the end he made a ‘house of love’ out of balloons to symbolize what our fellowship should be. Here are some pictures. I better get going to my first conference session more about "flowers at E2S", posted with vodpod
