I got facebook group invite to Japan Hates You - Why Wapanese Are Idiots and never seen my friends laugh so hard in my life.  I’m fairly new to the term or concept but was unaware of the extreme hate or loathing towards foreigners associated with this image or concept. I know what a “wapanese” and “weeaboo” means now and find it oddly hilarious thinking back to all the anime conventions. I don’t remember seeing many Japanese but I do remember many a times being corrected on proper etiquette on Japanese culture by someone of non-Japanese heritage. I think it would be hilarious if someone non-Thai heritage came up to me and told me the proper tradition and customs. Come to think of it now, I do find it odd for someone to be so entrenched in another culture, believe my friend called the phenomenon the “Honeymoon Effect”, disavow their own.  Goes to show the popularity of the Japanese culture, seems all of my friends are going to Japan or somewhere overseas.  Even though I feel  deep down we first foremost all human being, I do feel the need to connect with my Asian heritage. Hopefully I can learn some other Asian languages in my free time as well. (thanks Eve for all of your help!) Anyways be warned… I never seen my friends laugh so hard in my life. LOL, well I have a close friend who has a case of “yellow fever” or plague has he calls it.  He calls white girls the devil and loathes what he considers “Wapanese”. Course if the Japanese men insist on doing “that”, I can see why they have the largest interracial marriages percentage.
