Today was a big day for my little signature on a MoveOn petition for Fox News to stop its racist tactics. Yes, it's a silly one click to add your name petition. I certainly didn't expect it to be a substitute for real political action, and I definitely knew that it wouldn't change Murdoch's or O'Reilly's minds. But MoveOn and especially Nas handled this one right. My signature traveled from outside the Fox News Studio, where it was rejected by the network, to Steven Colbert's show. The best part of the show was, of course, Nas' performance. Colbert's rivalry with O'Reilly is great, but Colbert definitely upped the ammunition here by airing a new rap song dissing Fox News.
