On this day in 1932, Patsy Cline was born in Winchester, Virginia... Born Virginia Patterson Hensley, Cline was the last name of her first husband. Patsy got her first contract as a country singer in 1953 and would become one of the most influential singers of American popular music. Her breakthrough hit was "Walkin' After Midnight" from 1957. Other signature songs are "Crazy," by Willie Nelson, "I Fall To Pieces", and "Sweet Dreams." Cline died in a plane crash in Tennessee on March 5, 1963. She was 30 years old.
