Just a reminder that tomorrow night, you should really be at The Loft checking out Uh Huh Her. The indie pop duo's album Common Reaction is a clever collection of sophisticated girl power...or rather lady power. Their biggest song, "Not A Love Song"(below), is a pop dance treasure with smart lyrics and mega-fierce attitude. But the rest of the album plays with a driving wit that is capable of (and hopefully so) producing many more singles. The duo may be the modern day answer to male duos of the 80s and 90s (and still today) ala Erasure and Pet Shop Boys. But UHH's music is much more muscular and intense. And still a lot of fun to dance around the flat to. Not that I would have any experience in that...at all...ahem.They may already have a built-in audience with band member Leisha Hailey who plays Alice (my favorite!!!) on Showtime's The L Word. But the music speaks for itself and loudly. Tickets are a mere $15. So get 'em now. And send us any snapshots or vids you might take!
