what people are saying

I think his point is that even though Todd is not perfect, he was an instrument of the Holy Spirit and brought life and healing to many people. Toward the end of the message, he says that anger and hate masquerade as a search for passion for holiness. (It is the religious spirit.) Of course what Todd has done is wrong, and no one who knows him seems to be trying to deny that. But what is the point in criticzing and hating him or the people who are trying to help him? There could come a time in each person's life where they fall to some sin, and how awful if evryone stands back and says, "I told you so," instead of trying to restore the person. The religious spirit always stands back and criticizes, but I think that Jesus would have tried to restore this person and not to condemn him.

Why do people feel like they have to be the ones to put any part of the church in order? Isn't that the Lord's job? Anyone who appoints themselves to put everyone else in "order" is assuming the "order" is what God wants. That's very presumptuous. God's order doesn't always look so orderly to the religious. The Pharisees didn't like the kind of "order" Jesus was establishing and they killed him for it. Things are sometimes messy before they are fixed, but RESTORATION is the goal, not punishment. God always seeks to restore. My goodness, by some people's standards great men of the Bible would have been punished and never restored (David is a great example!) Give grace, allow repentance, and the deep healing that needs to happen.

Bill Johnson puts all the emphasis on Todd Bentley's fall and suggests that people are only interested in hanging Todd out to dry. However what many confused people are looking for is for Bill and the rest of the apostolic team who commissioned Todd and made him an apostle to acknowledge that they lacked real disernment and made a error of judgement. Not everyone who is asking questions is out for blood, but for truth. Not to punish Todd, but to put the charismatic part of the church in order.

It will never happen. Don't hold your breath.

Apostles and prophets are NEVER wrong, right? They hear from God more clearer than anyone else, capeesh? You'll never hear an apology. You'll hear spin doctoring going down in depths of abject self-justification that are disgusting to hear. Johnson is no different here.

All of the garbage these self proclaimed ICA "anointed" are now slinging around about trying to distance themselves from the slime they spewed all over in Lakeland stinks even more in God's nose then Bentley's own pathetic example.

Regardless what they declare, the real sharks in the water are the Johnsons, Wagners, Arnotts and Joyners of this world who are fanatically devoted to their pet theology and who regularly trot out members of their tribes to try to shove it down the throats of the church. Instead of being upfront and clear about the discipline that Todd should be under, he spends more time absolving his movement from all blame. Feh.

Yes Bill, you could give a lot of evidence about Todd, -how he is Homosexual for one- but it would show you up as a fraud as well . yep it shure would.
