I was on vacation in the US in 2008 then I saw him on early morning TV.I called him and made a prayer request for a personal problem not connected with money, at all. I received miracle manna from him, and of course, along with request to make a donation of $19. This was to continue with revelations about how God wanted me to be fabulous rich if I could be remitting certain specified donations with each letter I received. Never once did his letters address the reason I contacted him. Rather each letter was to whip up the base instincts (greed) in any man to be rich to fork out money money from me. After several solicitations, I got softened (not for the prospects of being rich just like that) by the personal appeal in the letters and sent him about $100. I thought this would appese the guy and let him go on the course of the problem I called him. But I was mistaken.Like leech he would not be satisfied but rather saw an easy prey. He acknowledged the donation and followed it with yet another request. This time that he had seen that God wanted me to have a 4-four anointing that would give the gift of healing if I would make a vow of $300 in support of his (Popoff's) ministry.
I paused and asked myself: when are these solicitations going to stop?.
I stopped answering the letters which kept coming (with bigger enticements of miracle monies in my accounts, miracle paychecks and windfalls, etc) . I would not fall for any of them and the letters ceased coming, after awhile.
But think on this . Within the period of 6 months that I received letters from him, he made requests totalling about $3000. Is it like a man of God?

I have since left America for my home country Ghana. But I wonder why America allows such scam artists on national TV to rob people in the full glare of all and the nation look on helpless.

It seems that nearly all TV evangelists meet with scandal sooner or later. Usually it is a sexual thing, often with a gay element and usually it involves money. Sometimes though it can be through outright fraud and the wonderfully named Peter Popoff falls into this category.Peter Popoff (born July 2, 1946) is a German-born U.S. televangelist known as a faith healer. He performs crusade services on national television which include laying on of hands. His ministry is based in Upland, California, and is funded through donations. A widely popular minister in the 1980s, he went bankrupt in 1987 after James Randi and Steve Shaw debunked his methods by showing that instead of receiving information about audience members from supernatural sources, he received it through his wife, via an in-ear receiver. These days Popoff continues unperturbed that he was exposed as a fraud over twenty years ago and runs a multi million dollar business selling amongst other things, miracle water and miracle bread.More about Popoff HERE
