Wow! Chris- what a terrific job you did on Buchanan - he deserved every thing you said and more concerning the right of McCain and Palin to not response to questions from the voters about issues. As usual, the Republicans want all their activities to be selective and secret and made public only if it benefits them. As I have said" Bush/McCain- one and the same." Now its "Bush/McCain/Palin -one and the same". In closing, when are you going to get rid of Buchanan? - most of the time he's off the wall and doesn't know what he's talking about - send him where you sent Tucker.

Is this Chris Matthews taking Pat Buchanan to task? I'm shocked. This was too funny for words. Look at the double standard that the GOP uses for an arguments. This was good TV and I mean that.  Pat Buchanan's is tripped in this skit.  He is actually promoting that the American people have no right to meet the GOP VP pick unless it is staged?  How pathetic can the GOP be. more about "Chris Matthews defends the media", posted with vodpod

I’ve criticized Chris Matthews plenty, but he’s been on a new tack lately, which I love. I think he actually realizes that if the Republicans keep the White House, democracy in this country is done for. This clip is from yesterday’s Hardball, with Chris talking with two Republicans: decrepit nutjob Pat Robertson and the sane though conservative Michelle Bernard. The topic is whether questioning Sarah Palin’s qualifications is sexist, and whether the public has a right to ask tough questions (through the media), and politicians to answer those questions. Chris takes the pro side of the latter question. Pat has some other crazy ass idea about privilege and message control, and Michelle is, literally and figuratively, somewhere in between. This is what Hardball should be all the time, but rarely has been — until recently. The video is 11 minutes long, but worth watching.Transcript here.
