Galyn Wiemers demonstrates the Dallas Center-Grimes Middle School Plumbing module to seventh graders. This module includes cutting and threading galvanized pipe and soldering copper pipe to copper fittings. This nine week class allows seventh graders to produce a project at 17 different modules including assembly of a lawn mower engine, bending and riveting iron, CNC mill design and cutting, CNC lathe design and cutting, computer programing, podcasting with garage band and uploading to i-tunes, electronics and more.
