I love this clip of Jimmy Kimmel trying to balance his inherent irreverence with his desire to appeal to middle-America as a 'nice guy.' The line he roasts her with is as funny as it is true. It's more mean than anything else.

Joy Behar (I've watched her new talk show) is actually pretty level-headed. When Joe the Plumber says 'I'm an American; I have the right to my opinion without being chastised for it,' Behar sets him straight in the right way, I think. Indeed, everyone has the right to their 'opinion'---not quite sure how one could be deprived of that right, since it's a matter of cognition, but whatever---but, no, you don't have the right to not be chastised. This is pseudo-intellectual, Howard Beale act is getting old. I'm sorry, but it's like creationism to me in the sense that, you know, I'm watching this video clip and thinking, "Man, does he think this shit actually works on people?" But apparently it does, because he's the hottest thing on TV right now. The extended metaphor he weaves together is pure idiocy.

Story: So someone sent me this video, unattended by any explanation, and I laughed my socks off. Truly, I just thought it was the funniest joke ever.
